Planned Giving

Planned gifts provide donors the satisfaction of arranging a gift today to benefit Berry students in the future. They include estate gifts, as well as a variety of charitable trusts and other options. Some planned gifts offer an interest rate unavailable via other means and provide donors an income for life – and for the life of a loved one, if desired. With real estate values down and other assets not yet fully recovered from the recession, planned giving has become a popular option nationwide for charitable giving.
Berry donors made 23 new planned gifts in 2009-10 with a face value of more than $1.6 million. Ten new members joined the Berry Heritage Society, which recognizes those who have remembered Berry in their will or made other future-gift arrangements.
