Joyful Berry
Berry heralded
the arrival of another Christmas season with a series of events to inspire even
the grumpiest Scrooge.
Preparation for
finals and other late-semester assignments didn’t stop students from showcasing
their talents at Lessons and Carols – a holiday favorite in the Berry College
Chapel. Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum also came alive with the annual
Candles and Carols celebration, which drew hundreds of visitors for a night of
inspirational sights, beautiful songs and, of course, Santa Claus.
During
the run of “Santaland Diaries” the Berry College Theatre Company collected 66
new toys and raised $1,200 for the Toys for Tots foundation through the
generosity of the Berry Equestrian Team and other contributions made via
tickets and sales.
Winding down the year, pajama-clad tots and
their student teachers at the Child Development Center took a ride on the
“Polar Express” chugging through campus on a spring-like December day!
