Ian  Adams

So.      Hometown: The Woodlands, Texas

2009 Track: Achieved top times for several events as a freshman runner...completed the season with a top time of 15:58.60 in the 5000 at the Butler Invitational (4/25) which set a new personal record...posted a 33:07.05 in the 10000 at the Cumberland invitational (4/11) for another personal record...set yet another personal record of 1:13.01 in the Tallahassee 1/2 marathon (2/01)...proved to be a strong competitor in the steeple chase event with a top time of 10:21.36.

2008 Cross Country: Was consistantly one of the team's fastest runners and was one of two male runners from Berry to advance to NAIA Nationals... ran a time of 26:54 at the NAIA National Championship Race, where he finished 193rd out of more than 330 of the NAIA's best competitors... top finish during the cross country season came at the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship meet, where he posted a time of 26:04 at Stonebridge Golf Course, helping the Vikings earn a second place finish in the race and earning an individual qualification to NAIA Nationals... his top finish during the year came at the Lee Invitational where he finished fourth and helped lead the Berry team to a win in the eight-kilometer race.

William  Anthony

Fr.      Hometown: Birmingham, Ala.

High School: Enters Berry with an impressive time of 16:58 in the 5k...recieved the Thuston Award for integrity and work ethic in 2004-05 and the Coaches Award in 2006... helped Mountain Brook High School to the State Cross Country titles in both 2006 and 2008...a four year letter-winner in both track and cross country... in track posted a top 800-meter time of 2:09 and a top 1600m time of 4:40... was a four year honor roll student that was twice selected to his school's Latin Honors Society, was also actively involved in Relay for Life.

Personal:William Brantley Anthony Jr. was born on December 6, 1989 in Birmingham, Ala....He is the son of Happy and William Anthony and has a younger sister, Ann (16)... He would like to study journalism at Berry.

Chase  Babineaux

So.      Hometown: Dallas, Ga

2009 Track: Set personal records in almost every event during the 2009 season...competed in the 5000 with a best-time of 17:03 and in the 1500 with a best-time of 4:31, ... also set a personal record of 1:22:24 in the Tallahasse Half Marathon (2/01).

2008 Cross Country: Competed in three cross country events during the 2008 season... best finish came at the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship meet, where he turned in a time of 28:44 to finish in 26th place... his 26th place finish at the SSAC Championship meet was his best finish of the year and showed an improvement of more than three minutes from the 31:58 he posted at the Berry Invitational.

High School: A graduate of Paulding County High School where he participated in both cross country and track & field... he was recieved both the Coaches and Scholar Athlete Awards... was the captin of his cross country and track teams... he qualified for the State Championship in both his junior and senior year... placed 6th at 2007 region championship race, and qualified as an individual for the State Championship Meet... he was an honor graduate and a member of the Spanish Honor Society... also participated in Skills USA and FCA.

Personal: Chase J. Babineaux was born May 11, 1990 in Kennesaw, Ga. ... he is the son of Michelle Deal and Carl Babineaux, step-father is Brannon Deal... he has two siblings, Kenneth Cooley and Katelyn Cooley... he is planning to study psychology at Berry.

Blake  Bannister

So.      Hometown: Tokyo, Japan

2009 Track: Proved to be a very strong competitor in the 800 achieving a time of 1:58r giving him the second fastest time on the team...posted a time of 4:10.87 in the Emory Invitational 1500 event (3/20-21) setting a new personal record...set a personal record of 1:19:28 in the Tallahassee Half Marathon (2/01) and another personal record of 35:08 in the 10k at the Berry Race (3/03).

2008 Cross Country: Competed in six cross country events this season...Best finish was at the Southren States Athletic Conference where he came in 24th place with a time of 28:35...shaving nearly two minutes from his Furman Invitational time of 30:22.

High School: Blake Bannister graduated from Christian Academy in Japan where he participated in cross country, track and field, and wrestling. While running cross country, Blake was twice named a cross country Allstar, three times an MVP, and was captain for both cross country and track since his sophomore year. Blake was also named a member of the National Honor Society in 2006.

Personal: Calvin Blake Bannister was born on Dec. 1, 1989 in Birmingham, Ala. He is the son of Knox and Sonna Bannister... he has three siblings, Johnathan(20), Michael(17), and Will(8)... he plans to study Nursing while at Berry.

Brady  Bennett

Jr.      Hometown: Ballground, Ga.

2009 Track: Set the 2nd best time on the team for the 5000 with a time of 15:53.59 and the 3rd best time in the 1/2 marathon with a time of 1:13:21.

2008 Cross Country: Proved to be a strong asset to the Berry team by consistently posting some of the fastest times...was one of two Berry runners to advance to the NAIA National Championships...best finish of the season was at the Southern States Athletic Conference where his time of 26:31 put him in 11th place.

Personal: Brady Wilson Bennett was born March 10, 1988 in Arlington, Texas...He is the son of Buddy Bennett, a former swimmer at the University of Texas (1973) and Penny Bennett...He has two brothers Cory (22) and Landry (14)...His grandfather Charles Bennett played baseball for the New York Yankees farm team...He hopes to study pre-med and english here at Berry.

Thomas  Clarke

Sr.      Hometown: Kennesaw, Ga.

2009 Track: Completed the season with some of the best times on the team...set the fastest time and a personal record for the 5000 with a 15:42.35 at the Duke Twilight (5/03)... set the second fastest time for the 1500 with a 4:02.3...accomplished a time of :53r in the 400 and a 1:59.6 in the 800 giving him the 3rd best time in both events...placed first on the team for the steeple with a time of 10:05.53 at the Emory Invitational (3/20-21) setting a new personal record for the event.

2008 Cross Country: Competed in five cross county events....Achieved his fastest 8k time f the 2008 season at the Southern States Athletic Conference, finishing the race in 27:08...a great improvment from his time of 30:55:92 at the Lee Invitationals.

2006: Cross Country: best time of the season came at the Georgia State University Invitational where he finished the 8k course in a time of 28:55, for 40th place… competed in the NAIA National Championship, where he finished in a time of 30:32.

High School: A graduate of Kennesaw Mountain High School... set a personal record of 16:54 at the Footlocker South Regional meet… finished 3rd at regionals in both the 1600 meters and 3200 m... was a four year letter winner in cross country and served as team captain... placed 9th at the region 5AAAAA championship and helped lead her team to a runner-up finish at that same event... three year letter winner in track and field and served as team captain... set four school records and received the golden spike award for the most points on the team for the season.

Personal: Thomas Britt Clarke was born October 8, 1987, Marietta, Ga… son of James and Karen Clarke… has one brother, James (23)... is planning to pursue a degree in finance while at Berry.

Bert  Harrison

So.      Hometown: Gainesville, Ga.

2009 Track: Placed 4th on the team for the 1500 with a time of 4:11.86...proved to be very strong in the 400 achieving the second fastest time on the team with a :52r.

2008 Cross Country: Though he only competed in one cross country event this season, he did well....coming in 18th place with a time of 27:33 at the Southern States Athletic Conference.

High school: A graduate of North Hall High School... participated in cross country and track while in high school... was awarded four varsity letters for each sport... named to the Gainesville Times All-area cross country team in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and track and field in 2005, 2006 and 2007... was the team captain for the 2006 AAA state championship team... the region 7AAA champion in the 1600m in 2005 and 2006... graduated with honors.

Personal: Albert Austin Harrison was born May 10, 1988, in Marietta, Ga... son of Jane and Doug Harrison... has one sister, Candace... will be pursuing a degree in health and physical education while at Berry.

Jonathan  Horn

Jr.      Hometown: Dallas, Ga.

2009 Track: Achieved the fastest time on the team for the 3000 with a time of 9:27.19 at the DePauw Indoor Classic (2/21)...Placed second among the team in the 10000 with a time of 33:26.12 at the Cumberland Invitational (4/11) which was also a new personal record...set a personal record for the 10k with a time of 34:02 at the Berry Race (3/03)...set another personal record in the 5000 with a time of 16:01.67 at the Duke Twilight (5/3).

2008 Cross Country: Came in tenth place with a time of 29:56:62 at the Lee Invitationals...his only cross country event during the 2008 season.

2007-08: Attended Chattahoochee Technical College.

High School: A graduate of Christian Liberty Academy where he was a member of the varsity cross country team... was an FCA leader and a Dean's List student, making the honor roll at CLA... participated in both cross country and swimming.

Personal: Jonathan R. Horn was born July 11, 1987 in Medford, Ore. ... he is the son of David Horn, who played baseball at the University of Oregon (1971-73) and Southern California College (1974-76)...and Patricia Horn.... he has two siblings, Matthew (25) and Stephanie (21) Horn... he is planning to study pre-medicine at Berry, with a minor in spanish.

2009 Track: Set a total of four personal records this season in various events including a time of 9:44 in the 3000 at the ATC All Comers (5/5), which placed him second on the team in that event....also set a new PR of 4:49 in the mile.

2008 Cross Country: Came in eight place at the Lee Invitational (29:45:36)...Fastest finish was at the Rhodes College Invitational where he came in 17th with a time of 28:07.



William  Morganfield

2009 Track: Set a time of 4:29 for the 1500(5/5)

2008 Cross Country: Ran two events with the team this season...Achieved his fastest 8k time at the Berry Invitational (30:21).

High School: A graduate of Stone Mountain High School where he was most valuable, most reliable and most improved runner... was an honor roll student in 2006-07 and 2007-08... participated in both cross country and soccer.

Personal: William S. Morganfield was born June 20, 1990 in Stone Mountain, Ga. ... he is the son of Janette and William Morganfield... he has a sister, Shari (21)... his father, William Morganfield played basketball at Tuskegee... he is planning to study engineering at Berry, with a minor in business.

David  Reeves

Sr.      Hometown: Lilburn, Ga.

2009 Track: Battled injuries throughout the season...still managed to set a time of 4:29 in the 1500 at the ATC All Comers ( 5/5)

2008 Cross Country: Fastest finish of the season was at the Southern States All Coference (28:54)...Came in ninth place at the Lee Invitational with a time of 29:55:08.

2006 Cross Country: Best performance of the season came at the Georgia Collegiate Championships where he finished in a time of 28:53, for 36th place.

High School: Was a two time team state champion in SA...holds a personal record of 17:03 in cross country.

Personal: David Paul Reeves was born May 13,1988 in Lilburn Ga....he is the son of Paul and Lori Reeves...and has two sisters, Kimberly(16) and Megan (10)...He has not yet chosen a major.

Matthew  Rego

Jr.      Hometown: Villa Rica, Ga.

2009 Track: Held first place on the team in the 400 with a time of .51r (4/4) and the 1500 with a time of 4:01:67 (5/15)...his time of 1:55:16 in the 800 event made him fastest in that event as well.

2008 Cross Country: Finished the Southern States All Conference 8k in 27:44...improving his previous time of 31:44:44 at the Berry Invitationals by alomost 4 minutes.

High school: A graduate of Bremen High School where he participated in cross country and track... he was awarded the 2006 State Runner-Up in the Classic A 800m. ... placed third in the 2006 Class A 1600m. ... was a member of the 4x400m. relay champions.

Personal: Thomas Matthew Rego was born October 30, 1988 in Carrollton Ga. ... he is the son of Thomas Rego and Karen Derbecker... he has a brother, Will (17)... he is planning to study pre-business while here at Berry.

Chris  Rodriguez

Sr.      Hometown: Douglasville, Ga.

2009 Track: Earned the tird fastest time on the team for the 3000 with a 9:46:93 in (2/7)...and the forth fastest in the 10000 with a 34:06:99 (4/11).

2008 Cross Country: Competed in six cross country events for the team...seasons fastest finish was at the Southern States All Conference...came in 12th place with a time of 26:41

2006 Track: ran a season best in the 5,000m of 15:56 with a 30th place finish at the Vanderbilt Invitational…Placed 5th in the Cumberland Invitational in the 10,000m with a time of 34:40...Cross Country: ran a season best at the Region XIII Championships in a time of 27:12 to finish in seventh place…competed in the NAIA National Championship where he finished in 236th place in a time of 28:39...named to the All-Conference Team…earned a spot on the First-Team All-Region.

2005: Set an 8K cross country PR of 27:14 with a 33rd place finish at the Indiana Wesleyan Meet...Named fist team All-Region and All-Conference with his time of 28:10.

High School: Rodriguez graduated from Alexander High School...5K PR of 17:03 from Alexander early bird invite.

Personal: Born January 8, 1987...Son of Laura Seagraves...Chris is a biology major here at Berry.

Matt  Scott

Sr.      Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.

2009 Track: Earned the fifth place spot on the team in the 400 with a time of .55r (3/14).... finished the Tallahassee 1/2 Marathon in an impressive 1:17:23.

2008 Cross Country: Came in fifth place at the Lee Invitational (28:55:30)...Fastest finish was at the Southern Statest All Conference with a time of 27:19.

2006 Track: finished 8th in the Emory Invitational in the 3,000m with a time of 10:12…Season best of 4:26 in the 1,500m with a 44th place finish at the Vanderbilt Invitational...Cross Country: season best time of 27:19 came at the Region XIII Championship…competed in the NAIA National Championship where he was the second finisher for the Vikings, he covered the 8k course in a time of 27:33 to finish 191st place…named to the All-Conference Team…received SSAC All-Academic honors.

2005: Set a PR of 29:02 with a 72nd place finish at the Georgia Collegiate Championships…Placed in Berry’s top-seven three times.

High School: Graduate of Lakeside High School…Served at track team captain...5,000 meter P.R. of 17:02.

Personal: Matthew V. Scott was born March 23, 1987 in Valdosta, Ga. ...Son of Cheryl Vaught and Jay Scott... has a sister, Alison (26)... is planning to pursue a degree in government with minors in marketing, french and international relations while at Berry.

Michael  Sexton

Fr.      Hometown: Lawrenceville, Ga.

High School: A graduate of Brookewood High School in Snellville, Ga...Was the county record holder in the 4x800 meter event...Earned all-county cross country award 2006-2008...Awarded all-county track in 2009.

Personal: Michael W. Sexton was born on September 20, 1990 in Nuremburg, Germany...He is the son of Mark and Theresa Sexton and has a brother , Andrew (16) and a sister Caroline (12)...He hopes to major in communications as well as economics here at Berry.

Seth  Smith

So.      Hometown: Lawrenceville, Ga.

2009 Track: Ran with the team in many events including the Berry 1/2 Marathon which he finished in 1:24:54(2/01).

2008 Cross Country:

High School: A graduate of Mill Creek High School where he participated in cross country and track and field... he was the team captain his Junior and Senior years... he was awarded most improved JV runner his Freshman year... he was a scholar athlete all four years... he also made Honor roll at Mill Creek.

Personal: Seth Thornton Smith was born September 18, 1988 in Lawrenceville, Ga. ... he is the son of John and Karen Smith... he has two brothers, Dustin (30) and Winston (26)... he plans to study biology with a minor in physics here at Berry.

Lucas  Stocks

Fr.      Hometown: Crawford, Ga.

High SChool: lettered throughout his years at Prince Avenue Christian School...was on the 2nd team Region in track...participated in the school's football and basketball teams...as a student he participated in Beta Club and graduated with honors.

Personal: Lucas Terell Stocks was born on Jan. 31, 1991 in Athens, Ga... he is the son of Nancy Stocks and Mark Stocks...he plans on taking a major in history while at Berry.

Christopher  White

Fr.      Hometown: Commerce, Ga.

High School: was a four-year letter earner in cross country and track for East Jackson Comprehenseive High and Jackson County Comprehensive High...earned JCCHS Scholar Athlete Track Award in 2006 and 2007, the JCCHS Scholar Athlete Cross Country Award in 2006 and 2007, was 10th in state at the EJCHS Cross Country 8AA Region Champs in 2007 and Runner Up 8th in state in 2008, was a Distance Medley Relay Team Member(12:28.8)...a strong student he earned the President's Educational Award Program for Outstanding Academic Excellence in 2008 and graduated with honors 9th in his class..he also participated in National Beta Club, National Technical Honors Society, National English Honors Soceity, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes...among those he earned various awards in the ROTC: the US Army Reserve National Scholar/Athlete Award in 2009 and earning the rank of Captain in 2009 being among them.

Personal: Christopher Andrew White was born August 20, 1991 in Athens, Ga...He is the son of David White, a former Berry College athlete...and Shirley White...He plans to study Communications here at Berry.
