Job Summary - Reporting to the Head Softball Coach and Director of the Cage Center, the successful candidate will assist with the duties associated with the intercollegiate softball program and the supervision and operation of the institution’s fitness center as well as establish and maintain yearly fitness programming. Softball responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with practice and game preparation, NCAA compliance, public relations, student-work supervision, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and a commitment to the student-athlete’s academic progress and degree completion. Fitness coordinator responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, training and scheduling of student workers, scheduling and providing certified instructors for fitness offerings, establish a personal training program primarily for students and the monitoring and maintenance of all weight and fitness equipment. This position includes competitive benefits and salary.

Minimum Qualifications -

Preferred Qualifications - The following certifications and experiences are preferred: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health-related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, Nationally recognized aerobic/fitness, certification, such as NSCA, AFAA, ACE and/or ACSM Knowledge of general fitness industry standards and fitness programming,Experience in a customer service industry/position,Familiarity with current fitness certification guidelines for groups, including ACSM, NSCA, ACE, AFAA.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required - American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification
