|Job Summary - The position supports programs of mathematics teacher education at the baccalaureate and master’s degree levels. The applicant must have a background appropriate to teach a variety of mathematics content and methods courses. Teaching efforts will be supported by faculty members who embrace active learning pedagogies. Collaboration opportunities exist, and are encouraged, with on-campus P-8 laboratory schools, the School of Education faculty, already-established local school partnerships, and the national STEM initiative Sally Ride Science program. The development of a research program is expected, and involvement of undergraduates is encouraged. |
|Minimum Qualifications - Candidates must have an earned doctorate in mathematics education or related field with evidence of coursework in mathematics education. At least three years of experience teaching mathematics in P-12 schools is required. |
