The 131,000-square-foot Cage Center is designed to exact the greatest educational, athletic, recreational, social and special-event benefits possible from each dollar invested. Key components include:

• Performance/convocation arena seating 1,964 for athletic competitions plus an additional 900 on the floor for other events. Also converts into three recreational courts.

• Natatorium facility with an eight-lane, 25-yard pool and spectator seating.

• Fitness center featuring an array of cardiovascular equipment, strength-training equipment and free weights.

• Athletic training center for the treatment and rehabilitation of performance-related injuries for intercollegiate student-athletes.

• Multi-activity court for recreational basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer and inline hockey play.

• Two multipurpose rooms for exercise and human sciences (EHS) activity classes and extra-curricular offerings, including aerobics, Pilates, spinning and yoga.

• Two racquetball courts for both EHS and recreational use.

• Indoor 1/8-mile fitness track.

• Two EHS classrooms, a poolside wet classroom and an exercise science lab for student experimentation and research.

• Main lobby lounge and gathering area with comfortable seating and a large-screen TV.

• Arena concourse lobby and gathering area with juice bar/concession facility.

• Locker rooms for women’s intercollegiate basketball and volleyball, men’s intercollegiate basketball, visiting teams and officials, as well as general recreational locker rooms for use by the campus community.

• Hall of Berry Sports History named for Berry sports pioneers Garland and Edward Dickey.

• President’s Suite for entertaining campus guests.

• Athletic and EHS offices.
