The 131,000-square-foot Cage Center is designed to exact the greatest educational, athletic, recreational, social and special-event benefits possible from each dollar invested. Key components include:
• Performance/convocation arena seating 1,964 for athletic competitions plus an additional 900 on the floor for other events. Also converts into three recreational courts.

• Natatorium facility with an eight-lane, 25-yard pool and spectator seating.
• Fitness center featuring an array of cardiovascular equipment, strength-training equipment and free weights.
• Athletic training center for the treatment and rehabilitation of performance-related injuries for intercollegiate student-athletes.
• Multi-activity court for recreational basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer and inline hockey play.
• Two multipurpose rooms for exercise and human sciences (EHS) activity classes and extra-curricular offerings, including aerobics, Pilates, spinning and yoga.
• Two racquetball courts for both EHS and recreational use.

• Two EHS classrooms, a poolside wet classroom and an exercise science lab for student experimentation and research.
