100. First-Year Seminar - 1-0-1
Orientation to the academic, intellectual, social and personal demands
of higher education and an introduction to the history, mission and
resources of Berry College. Through readings, lectures, discussions
and group activities, students explore their strengths, aptitudes,
values and goals and develop a plan for their Berry education.
Students will reflect on individual goals within the context of higher
education while developing time-management skills and learning a
variety of study strategies.
Required for any student entering Berry with fewer than 24 hours of
college credit.

The relationship between self-awareness and understanding of the
occupational environment. Topics include decision-making styles,
personal goals, self-concept, values, interests, skills, experience,
occupational and educational options and career-search strategies.
