What is Scioware? Scioware has three main components: 1. Electronic portfolio used to showcase student achievement and progress. ePs are a strong trend in higher education. 2. Assessment module used to track if students have fulfilled requirements. 3. Planning module used to outline and track a students academic career. This module will not be implemented at Berry College for the current academic year.

ePortfolio Overview

Berry College’s ePortfolio project helps students examine and reflect on their learning and career goals.  ePortfolio encourages students to think about their learning in a broader context of their lives, connecting their personal, educational, cultural, and work experience to their future career goals.

One of the ePortfolio’s most valuable assets is that is provides students the opportunity to reflect on their life experiences over the course of their time at Berry College. Helping and encouraging students to engage in this process is where faculty play a key role.

Many students are very excited by the prospect of creating an ePortfolio. They immediately recognize the value of having an electronic tool they can use to showcase their work to prospective employers or to four-year colleges.
