Alice Friman

Alice Friman is the author of six full-length poetry collections, most recently The View from Saturn. She is a recipient of the 2012 Georgia Author of the Year Award in Poetry, a 2012 Pushcart Prize, and the Ezra Pound Poetry Award from Truman State University, and is included in Best American Poetry 2009. Her work appears in The Georgia Review, Shenandoah, Boulevard, The Southern Review, and many others. Friman is professor emerita of English and creative writing at the University of Indianapolis. She now lives in Milledgeville, Georgia, where she is Poet-in-Residence at Georgia College. Her podcast series Ask Alice is sponsored by the Georgia College MFA program and can be seen on YouTube.
