Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Berry College invites applications for a tenure-track position in applied mathematics starting August 2018. Teaching responsibilities include differential equations, applied (business) calculus and other mathematics courses as part of a 9 credit hour per semester load. The ideal candidate will demonstrate aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching in a liberal arts environment and a desire to contribute to our rich mathematics culture. Our department has a strong commitment to excellent teaching in a student-centered environment. In addition to teaching, position responsibilities include developing a focused research agenda that includes undergraduate students. Opportunities for mathematical-based research in fields such as healthcare, engineering, and environmental studies are readily available through collaboration with a variety of Berry College’s established programs. Located on more than 27,000 acres in northwest Georgia in a setting of great natural beauty, Berry College has an enrollment of about 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students. Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field. ABD candidates near completion will be considered. Review of applications will begin November 15, 2017 and continue until the position is filled.
