Biographical Information: The School of Education faced accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education for the first time in 1977. Berry's teacher education program was granted accreditation at that point. The program was reaccredited in 1987. In 1995, after significant changes to the curriculum and following sweeping changes in Georgia's core curriculum standards, the program was reaccredited.
Description: The collection consists of materials pertaining to the accreditation of Berry's teacher education program by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. The majority of the collection is made up of reports and correspondence created in preparation for and in response to the first accreditation visit in 1977. A smattering of items from other years is included.
