Description: The Literary Productions are Speeches 1917-1934, Manuscripts, and Reminiscences. Many of the speeches are drafts of some given by Miss Berry, including the one for her acceptance of the Roosevelt Medal. Various commencement addresses, the Roosevelt Medal Presentation by President Calvin Coolidge in 1925, and several addresses made at special Chapel services at Berry, complete the subseries.
The manuscripts include drafts of the Story of the Berry Schools as told by Miss Berry. There is a 1915 and a 1925 version, and an undated variation is filed with the 1925 story. Other items filed here are a magazine story called "Christmas in Dark Corner" and "Our First Christmas Tree", both written by Martha Berry. The Reminiscences are childhood memories of Miss Berry's family as told by her youngest sister, Frances Berry Bonnyman. Frances Bonnyman relates stories of Martha, her other siblings, their governess (Ida McCullough), Martha Freeman, and their parents.
Series IV contains a certified copy of Martha Berry's last Will and Testament and Codicils. Two typed copies of the Berry School Charter (April 6, 1903) are located in this series.
