This fund is named for Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson, a beloved former faculty member and administrator who played a key role in the development of the Berry Center for Integrity in Leadership. A member of the communication faculty beginning in 1986, Dr. Richardson endeared herself to generations of alumni while earning the college’s top awards for teaching, scholarship and service. In addition to her work in the classroom, she also served with distinction as associate provost and dean of academic services (1999-2007), interim provost (2007-08), and provost (2013-16).

Dr. Richardson’s 30-year tenure at Berry came to a close with her history-making 2016 appointment as the first woman to serve as president of Westminster College in Pennsylvania. Though her presence is missed, gifts to this fund help to ensure that the legacy of leadership she established will continue to benefit faculty and staff members – and by extension Berry students – for generations to come.
