Computer Lab Reservation Policy

Cook, Green, Laughlin and Moon laboratories may be reserved for class use during the day. A lab assistant will be required for all reservations after 5 PM.  To reserve a lab for class meetings, Berry faculty and staff may use the Campus EMS site at http://ems.berry.edu/virtualems/Default.aspx. You will receive a confirmation email when it has been reviewed and processed. Please submit reservation requests at least 3 days in advance.

Computer Lab Usage & Priority Policy

Computer Lab use is granted on the following policy:

  • Classes meeting in the lab as their regular meeting place
  • Classes reserved in the lab, confirmed through the campus EMS system (see above)
  • Classes wishing to use the lab that do not require the lab to close
  • Students using the lab for class or college purposes
  • Students using the lab for leisure or personal activities

A lab assistant is always present during all computer lab hours open for student use. They are there for assisting lab users with their work. Lab patrons should abide by any request from the lab assistant. Any problem with lab assistants, or a lab without a lab assistant present, should be reported to the staff computer lab coordinator, Terri Sills, at tsills@berry.edu. At no time are food or drink permitted in the computer labs. Failure to abide by this policy will result in removal from the computer lab.
