Dear Berry Parents,
Being relatively new to Georgia, we were not acquainted with Berry College. We learned of Berry when our eldest son, George, had told us that he had found his college--the college that he wanted to attend.
We decided to visit Berry as a family and have a look around. When we arrived, I realized why our son had fallen in love with Berry College. The campus setting was one of the best that we had ever seen. We were struck by the many happy, smiling faces of students walking around campus. Everyone was very friendly and we were greeted repeatedly as we walked around.
Our son submitted his application, and awaited his acceptance. The college counselor at his high school advised us that our children should apply to at least three colleges or universities to optimize their chances for admission. Even so, George was adamant that Berry was the only school to which he was applying.
Once our son was accepted, our only hurdle was financing his Berry education. In a meeting with members of the Berry financial aid staff, we were amazed at how helpful and supportive they were. The scholarships and grants they offered our son exceeded our expectations. That was just the start of the love and care that George, and our youngest son, Robert, have received at Berry.
I believe that what separates Berry from other colleges and universities is the day to day access students have to their professors or department heads. We found that department heads really went out of their way to help with any sort of problem our sons faced while in college. One semester our sons had their classes dropped through our error. Their advisor took time out of her extremely busy day, to help them get each and every class back.
We highly recommend Berry to prospective students and their parents. Because of our experience, we’re confident that your son or daughter can earn a top flight education in an environment where he or she will experience the nurturing and love that parents appreciate being given to their children.
We have watched our sons grow from teenagers into fine, well-rounded young men. Their Berry College education has equipped them not only to handle life, but to excel in life.
