Broaden Opportunities for Spiritual Growth

The Mount Berry Church is now meeting on Sunday evenings, with services led by Chaplain Dale McConkey, often in collaboration with leaders from various student organizations on campus. The shift to Sunday evenings as a time for worship will allow students active in other congregations an opportunity to worship together on campus.
Internationalize the Curriculum
(Goal One, Objective D)
Berry College students representing Egypt won a distinguished delegation award at the Southern Regional Model United Nations (SRMUN) conference. Nearly 500 students representing 69 countries attended the conference in Atlanta. The award placed the students in the top 13 percent of country delegations.
Develop the Communicating and Critical-Thinking Skills of Students
(Goal One, Objective D)
Berry students Philip Bishop, a sophomore communication major from Albany, Ga., and Caitlin Carroll, a freshman communication major from Marietta, Ga., were named national champions at the 24th Annual Novice National Forensics Tournament.
Improve Athletic/Recreation Facilities
(Goal Six, Objective D)
The Berry College Board of Trustees has voted to authorize groundbreaking for the $32.5 million Steven J. Cage Athletic and Recreation Center. A groundbreaking celebration is scheduled for Sept. 14.
Complete a Successful Comprehensive Campaign
(Goal Twelve, Objective F)
In November, eight months ahead of schedule, Berry announced it had topped the $100 million goal of the Centennial Campaign.
