 Students, Staff Lauded for Excellence in Student Work
(May 1, 2008) Berry staff member Pamela R. Smith and student workers Candice Fingerle and Joshua Conn received top honors at Berry's 25th Annual Student Work Awards Program. Smith received the John R. Bertrand Superior Work-Supervisor Award, while Fingerle and Conn were recipients of the Chief Moore Award for students.

 Oak Hill Continues Monthly Discussion Series May 13
(April 29, 2008) Dr. Jennifer Dickey will be the featured speaker Tuesday, May 13, for an evening discussion hosted by Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum in partnership with the Rome Area Council for the Arts. The 7 p.m. presentation, "The Eternal Flame of Midtown: The Fall and Rise of The Margaret Mitchell House," is the fourth in the "Historic Homes and Famous Tomes: House Museums of Georgia Authors" series. Martindale Awards Recognize High Achievement
(April 30, 2008) Dr. Martin Cipollini and Tim Tarpley are the 2008 recipients of Berry's Martindale Awards of Distinction. The Martindale Awards were established in 2001 by Berry alumna Susan Byrd Martindale and her husband, Larry, to promote and reward extraordinary achievement. The award recognizes employees whose superior contributions have advanced the college's mission and carries with it a $2,500 prize.

Faculty and Staff Honored for Excellence
(April 29, 2008) Dr. Ron Taylor and Kevin Kleine headlined the faculty and staff awards at Berry's 2008 honors convocation. Dr. Taylor received the Vulcan Teaching Excellence Award, while Kleine earned the Eleana M. Garrett Award for Meritorious Advising and Caring.
