College Broadcasters Inc. Nominate Berry ProductionsBerry College’s online news and entertainment website, Viking Fusion, was named a finalist in the category of “Best Student Media Website” at the 2011 College Broadcasters Inc. Student Production Awards.
This is the second consecutive year that Viking Fusion has been nominated. The website (http://vikingfusion.berry.edu) was also nominated this year for best promo video.
“We all were very excited to be finalists at the CBI Awards this year,” said Viking Fusion Executive Director Brittany Regan, of Lilburn, Ga. “We always love being a part of the awards and conference because it's a great way to see what other colleges are doing and receive a lot of feedback about what we're doing. It was our second year in a row as a finalist for Best Student Produced Website, and we will continue to grow and develop Viking Fusion to fit students' needs.”
Berry’s Narrative Video Production class also was nominated in the Best Public Service Announcement category for “Smoking Mime.”
CBI represents student run television, radio and online environments to promote student’s education through active involvement in these mediums and to facilitate discussions related to student-operated electronic media.
