Berry College Recycling

Recycle BinHaving a tough time sorting the plastics from the papers? Berry’s recycling is unique because it is co-mingled, meaning ALL your recyclables can all be dumped into one bin! Our bins are in most of our academic buildings. They can be found next to doors, bathrooms, and stairwells.

For the past three years, Berry has participated in the Recyclemania competition. Our participation is also a required "tangible impact" for the Presidents' Climate Commitment. Read more!

Teaching recycling Left: Students test their recycling know-how in an game hosted by Berry's Presidents' Climate Commitment during Green Week 2008. It is important to keep waste out of the recycle bin because contaminated recyclables are not accepted at the recycling plant. Remember- when in doubt, throw it out!

Did you know..?
The amount of a year's worth of aluminum in lost in America's landfills could have created more than 8,000 747 airplanes.
