Recommended Four-Year Plan

First Year
- Take at least 2 required Honors courses; one in the fall (HON 201) and the other in the spring (HON 200)
1) HON 201H- Perennial Questions (different sections satisfy different general education requirements)
2) HON 200H- Democracy and Its Friendly Critics (different sections satisfy different general education requirements) - You should also consider any appropriate Honors general education course.
- You should also consider Honors 250 or HON 251courses cross-listed with various major courses. (Often count toward gen. ed.)
Second Year
(At least 2 Honors courses)
- Take at least one HON 250H or HON 251H course (Seriously consider HON 251H Oxbridge Lecture Series Course)
- Honors sections of general education courses
- Honors 250 courses cross-listed with various major courses
Third Year
- Finish up any lower-division Honors course requirements that remain
- Register for HON 450H - Senior Thesis I in the spring
- Explore Honors study abroad options; study abroad
Fourth Year
- Register for HON 451H - Senior Thesis II in the fall and defend your thesis
