Library Privileges
Library Services for Honors Students at Berry College
Circulation Privileges:
Students currently enrolled in the Berry College Honors Program are eligible for extended, semester-long checkout privileges for all materials except DVD’s upon request. Simply present your Honors ID at the Circulation Desk when you are ready to check out your materials, and request the “Honors Due Date”, which will be the last day of classes for the semester.
Honors students are also allowed additional renewal periods for projects carrying over into successive semesters as long as another patron has not requested a recall of the material.
Reference Consultations:
Although reference consultations are available for all students at Berry College, this service becomes particularly valuable for students in the Honors Program. You may schedule as many consultations as are needed for successful completion of your major projects. Reference librarians are able to help you focus your question, introduce you to specialized resources for your topic, provide ongoing training and assistance in databases and other electronic resources, recommend special collections at other institutions, and much more. Interlibrary Loan Services:
Memorial Library fully supports the special information resource needs often generated by the Honors thesis project and other in-depth research associated with honors courses. Orders and requests for unique or highly specialized materials that may fall outside of the traditional interlibrary loan and document delivery pipelines are accommodated at no additional charge.
