Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) - Fall Schedule, 2012

A Good Start:  Helping Freshmen and All Students Get a College Mindset.”  This workshop shares high school trends about absenteeism, quizzes, and grading, providing ideas for helping all college students succeed.

3rd Year Review Workshop 

Tuesday, October 2 at 11AM How Do I Discuss Academic Integrity?  A 20-Minute Mentor DVD and discussion. 

New Faculty Luncheons/Seminars .  Cook Building, Thursdays, 11AM, September 13, October 11, November 8 

 Campus book study  - A Crucible Moment and/or Student Engagement Techniques.  The CTE provides you with a copy of the book and CTE committee members lead book discussion groups in October or November.   

 Tuesday November 6 at 11AM – Writing Panel Discussion;  What does Berry teach?  What should we expect in students’ writing?
