Minutes for February 15, 2005

I. Jeff corrected the minutes by clarifying that he is already teaching classes in the IFC and encouraged other professors to do the same. Minutes were then unanimously approved.

II. Art Contest

Brent and David presented their ideas for the upcoming IFC Art Contest.

Reward money was changed from $200 1st place, $100 2nd place, and $50 3rd place to: $100 1st, $75 2nd, and $50 3rd.

The winners of the art contest will be announced at Meet the Jews on April 4th.

Work can be submitted to the Chaplain's Office one week before the deadline. If too much artwork is submitted, Brent and David will transport the work from the Chaplain's Office to the IFC.

The artwork will be presented in an Art Show following the Meet the Jews event. Winners will have their work displayed in the center for an undecided amount of time.

III. Campus Interfaith Initiative

Clarice attended the Interfaith Meeting to give details on this upcoming event.

Berry, Shorter, and Emory will be participating in a dialogue between Jewish, Christian, and Muslim students at the Winshape Retreat Center from March 20th-March 22nd.

Planned activities include a service project, group discussion and workshops.
