Floyd Medical Center

As the largest employer in Floyd County, Floyd Medical Center provides a variety of healthcare services to the community. Many organizations and agencies work with or through Floyd Medical Center to provide numerous opportunities for volunteers such as Arts in Medicine, Heyman Hospice Care, and the First Steps Program.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross provides volunteer opportunities in clerical work, disaster response and relief, health and safety education and disaster education. The American Red Cross also sponsors blood drives on the college campus.

CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)

The Floyd County Community Emergency Response Team regularly offers courses in disaster response for community members. After completing the hands-on training, CERT members then become a part of the emergency response plan for their particular area.

Cancer Navigators

As an advocacy group for people diagnosed with cancer in the Rome and Floyd County communities, the Cancer Navigators work to provide support for those with cancer through education, counseling, and resources for those in need. In addition to regular volunteering, Cancer Navigators host a large benefit to raise money for those with cancer.

disAbility Links of NWGA

disAbility Link to promotes the rights of people with disabilities so that they can live as independently as possible. Clerical work and construction projects are some of the duties or volunteers.
