Practices and Goals
Consistently Utilize Sustainability Practices:
Harmful chemicals are not used on our crops; instead we rotate our crops and compost and use natural methods to repel pests. A majority of our compost
material comes from leaves gathered from
the campus by grounds workers.
Expand In Every Growing Season:
Since its inception, Season’s Harvest has continued to grow. Recent expansion has included a six acre tract across HWY 27 along the river.
Composting:
The garden provides much of its own compost, and many of our crops are tilled back into the soil.
Environmental Audit:
The activities of Season’s Harvest have
been included in the environmental audit being conducted on Berry
College by current Environmental Science students.
