Viking Creations
Viking Creations' mission is to reclaim the dying Appalachian art of weaving, in addition to Martha Berry's dream of providing meaningful work to students. It was officially established as a student enterprise in late 2011 thanks to devoted Berry alumni and faculty members. Members of the Sunshine Room (a local group of volunteer weavers who have graduated from Berry College) are supporting the student team with their knowledge, talent, time and guidance.
Woven products that will be available for sale include: mug rugs (coasters), table runners, place mats, bookmarks, and other handcrafted products.
As a newly-created enterprise, Viking Creations' ordering system is currently under development. Customers with questions or comments can contact the enterprise CEO Amanda Marbut.
