The Student Activities
Office provides programs and leadership opportunities that enhance student
learning. Through the development of social, recreational, educational and
cultural activities, Student Activities seeks to create an environment that
promotes student involvement, develops leadership skills, encourages service
and civic engagement, compliments the curricular experience, and fosters a
sense of community. Primary Department Responsibilities include:
- Provide and support campus-wide student events including Viking Venture, Mountain Day, Viking Weekends and the Spring Concert
- Coordinate Involvement initiatives, including the Berry Experiential (co-curricular) Transcript
- Advise the Krannert Center Activities Board, as well at the Marthapalooza Committee.
- Manage the Krannert Student Center, working cooperatively with Campus Scheduling to coordinate room reservations, and handle event set-ups
- Support commuter programs and resources
- Provide leadership development programs and resources
- Oversee 75+ student organizations and manage their financial accounts
- Publish and distribute campus-wide Stall Wall Weekly and the Viking Discount Card
- Employ over 50 student workers and manage various student work teams
Office Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 11 pm
Friday: 8 am - midnight
Saturday: 9am - midnight
Sunday: 5 pm - 11 pm
