Welcome to Berry College - Student Activities

What is KCAB?

about kcab.

KCAB provides a variety of social entertainment which allows the entire Berry family to relax, expand their horizons, express themselves and have fun. Through these activities, the KCAB team works to establish a sense of community among diverse people in an effort to enhance the overall standard and quality of living on campus.

The Krannert Center Activities Board (kcab@berry.edu) coordinates campus wide social, cultural and recreational programs for the entire Berry community. The board is comprised of 18 students and 5 advisors. Committees, including Dances, Films and Art, Games & Recreation, Spotlight, and Special Events, plan traditional and innovative events. KCAB annually surveys students concerning current interests and ideas for campus programming.

Campus events don't happen magically, and they don't happen without dedicated students. KCAB is run by students for students. We are interested in providing more for you, making your college experience more than just classes and homework. We also want to have your support and ideas for future events. Whether you are involved as a spectator, participant, or leader in campus activities at Berry College, you will have fun and gain many friends and memories for years to come. KCAB is for you! We invite you to enjoy the events, meet new people, and give us new ideas. For those hardworking individuals who are interested in taking an active role in planning events and gaining hands-on-experience, consider applying for a KCAB position this spring. We are located across from the Bean'ry in Krannert 207 if you want to stop by and ask us questions or let us know of a great new event to plan.

So, are you looking for fun, excitement, and new experiences? If you need a creative outlet where you can plan and gain valuable work experience, KCAB is always looking for energetic, innovative, and motivated people to join the Board against Boredom! Applications, including information about interviews for KCAB, are available in the Student Activities Office each Spring. KCAB carefully makes committee assignments based on the number of positions available, prior experience, and interests. Your assignment to a specific committee will determine the types of programs you'll plan, but everyone's help to actually run many events will be expected. You will begin work with your assigned committee immediately after spring selection to help familiarize yourself with policies and procedures and to start planning for next year.
If you'd like to reach us with suggestions or ideas for future programs, you can e-mail us at kcab@berry.edu, call us at x2429, or talk with us at events around campus. We want to offer entertainment you like!
