Judson Show

On Nov. 10, Berry traveled to Marion, Alabama to compete in three western shows.  The Vikings dominated, easily winning all three shows over Judson College.  In the first and third show, senior Lauren Brown was High Point Rider by earning 1st and 2nd in open reining and rail in the first show, and 2nd and 3rd in the third.  Senior Denise Wright, who only rode in open rail (and won) in the third show, earned Reserve High Point Rider.  In the second show, freshman Open rider Casey Bennington tied for High Point Rider when she won reining, and was 5th in rail.  Other strong rides included:

Advanced- Brittany Hannah (1st), Haley Chappelle (2nd), Megan Gilker (3rd)

3rd show
Open Reining- Taylor Clark (4th)
Open- Casey Bennington (2nd)
Advanced- Megan Gilker (1st), Haley Chappelle (3rd)

Beginner- Amber Palmer (1st)

At the end of the first semester, the Vikings are 51 points ahead of 2nd place Judson, with only 2 shows left.  Senior Lauren Brown, who won High Point Rider last year, is currently 8 points ahead of teammate Casey Bennington.  Congrats to all riders, including Denise Wright for qualifying for Regionals in Advanced!
