About Us

Our mission is to promote student health through education and awareness, assessment, treatment and referral. The use of these services at Berry College facilitates the individual’s health care decision-making and contributes to academic success. Treatment choices within the scope of practice of an acute care ambulatory health clinic provides the basic tools to realize optimal health and well-being, and ensure personal privacy, confidentiality, honesty and mutual respect.

Make An Appointment

Currently enrolled students can make an appointment online through their Medicat Patient Portal or by calling the Health Center at 706.236.2267. The Health Center cannot treat dual-enrolled students or Berry employees. Effective July 1, 2025, graduate students will be eligible for services.

If you have an emergency situation or you need help after care hours, please call campus police at 706-236-2262.

Student Requirements

Berry College requests that incoming students submit all required health documents using the Medicat Patient Portal prior to attending SOAR. Each student must submit a self-reported medical history and tuberculosis screening questionnaire, official documentation of required immunizations, and a copy of their medical insurance card, if insured. Without this information, students will not be permitted to register for their classes in the semester following their enrollment. Medical insurance is strongly recommended for each student. Private medical insurance options are available through the Affordable Care Act. Please, refer to https://www.healthcare.gov/ for more information.  You may contact the Health Center for any question you have regarding insurance options.
