This cottage was constructed in 1910 with funds provided by the Martha Berry Circle of Atlanta, headed by Mrs. Frank Inman. Originally it was a dining hall with dormitory rooms for girls on the second floor. It was here that Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford were entertained on their first visit to the campus. With the completion of Ford Dining Hall, Atlanta Hall was converted into a cannery. In 1960 it was remodeled into a student center. Today, it continues to be useful as a day-care center through which Berry College students receive training. Atlanta Hall was designed by Captain John Gibbs Barnwell, a Rome architect who designed all major buildings during Berry's early days.
