Faculty and staff residences

Berry's philosophy and practice have always required close association among faculty, staff, and students; and from the beginning homes were provided on the campus for faculty and staff members and their families. Miss Berryherself moved into Brewster Hall during the schools' first year; her quarters were the first in a long series of dormitory apartments occupied by Berry personnel and their families. Today most of the faculty and staff residences on the main campus are clustered at the lower end. In the area south and west of the Hoge Building are approximately 20 buildings, all used as faculty and staff housing, though some were originally built for other purposes. Each has been occupied by a series of dedicated faculty and staff families.
