Barstow Memorial Library

George E. Barstow Memorial Building was built in 1940 with funds given by Mrs. Barstow in memory of her son who was lost in a Chinese junk with author Richard Halliburton on his final adventure. It served the academy as a library and housed some 7,000 volumes, periodicals, and audiovisual materials. After the closing of the academy, the library was used by the WinShape students as a study area. It is now used as a conference facility by Chick-fil-A.

The Barstow building has a clock with chimes that toll the hours, a natural stone fireplace in the reading room, and a balcony area used for study space.
