Pilgrim Hall was built in 1929-30 from funds donated by Mrs. Hammond's "Pilgrims." It was designed by Cooledge and Carlson of Boston and was built by student labor. Used as a boys' dormitory since its beginning, it accommodates 65 residents. A large faculty apartment is in the east end of the building.
Pilgrim has large rooms with 9-foot ceilings and windows that measure 3 by 6 feet - unusual by today's standards. It also boasts a two-story common room with a lovely Gothic window and a floor-to-ceiling natural stone fireplace.
