Committee Constitution

Committee Membership:

  • WAC Committee members are elected by the Faculty and Student Government 
    1. Two faculty from the School of Education and Human Sciences 
    2. Two faculty from the Evans School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences 
    3. Two faculty from the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences 
    4. Two faculty from the Campbell School of Business 
    5. One faculty from the Faculty Assembly 
    6. One student from the Student Government 
  • Faculty members from each school will serve two year terms, with alternating termination dates to assure the continuity of school representation. 
  • The Provost is an ex officio member representing Berry College leaders. 
  • The Director of Center for Teaching Excellence is an ex officio member. 

Program Structure:

  • The WAC Committee will be organized into five subcommittees, as follows: 
    1. Leadership- Chair, Provost, CTE Director 
    2. Operations & records- two members from different schools 
    3. Marketing & Awards-two members from different schools, plus a Student Government representative 
    4. Evaluation & Research-two members from different schools 
    5. Speakers & Workshops-two members from different schools 
  • The Provost (ex officio member) provides resource support, as appropriate 
  • The Director of Center for Teaching Excellence (ex officio member) coordinates CTE & WAC Program initiatives.
