Senior Admissions Counselor

Growing up in Rome, I had always been interested in attending Berry. As the time grew nearer to make a college decision, I learned that Berry would provide me with more than just a top notch education from a highly regarded liberal arts college. Berry would also prepare me for a life of service to others with practical work experience and opportunities for spiritual growth. Upon graduation from Berry in May 1993, I was employed in the Office of Admissions as an admissions counselor. I served in this capacity until 1997, when I resigned my position to stay at home with my new son, (who is now a Berry student). During my time “off” from Berry, I taught at and directed a preschool and served as children’s coordinator at my church. When I had an opportunity to return to the admissions staff in 2007, I did not hesitate at the chance to come “home” to Berry.

I consider it a great honor to be able to come to work every day at the most beautiful place in the world with the most wonderful students and staff in the world. As a student work supervisor, I particularly enjoy working with the students who work in the Office of Admissions. The opportunity to serve as a guide establishing relationships with select students on a more personal level and assisting them with navigating their college journey is both exciting and rewarding.
