Each year, the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program gladly celebrates great writing in every field of study throughout our community by handing out awards for excellence in student writing (as nominated by WI instructors) and in writing instruction (as nominated by students, faculty and deans).
The WAC Committee is currently accepting nominations for the following awards:
Student Writing Across the Curriculum Award
This is awarded to a student who submitted outstanding work in a WI course. Nominations submitted by faculty. Student awards can be for work completed for a WI-designated course any time in the last 12 months, including Spring 2025.
Faculty Writing Across the Curriculum Award
This is awarded to an instructor who has developed one or more WI courses that exemplify the ideals and philosophy of the WAC program nominations submitted by students, by faculty or by deans. Faculty are especially encouraged to nominate colleagues who have helped them become better WI instructors or who students openly praise.
