Visiting Lecturer of Theatre
Christine Fuchs is an accomplished actor, director, and educator whose career bridges stage, screen, and the classroom. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity, her screen work includes appearances on The Oval, The Resident, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent. On stage, she has tackled iconic roles such as Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, and she continues to direct a wide range of classical and contemporary productions including Animal Farm, The One Ac Play That Goes Wrong, Macbeth, and Heathers: The Musical. Christine’s artistry is matched by her passion for education. She has taught acting, acting for the camera, movement, voice, and Shakespeare at universities including Northern Illinois University, the University of West Georgia, and Berry College, where she inspires the next generation of performers to approach their craft with curiosity, discipline, and imagination. Her teaching integrates a variety of performance methodologies, from Sanford Meisner to Michael Chekhov, and emphasizes both artistic excellence and personal growth.
Holding an MFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University, an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU, and a BFA in Theatre Arts from SUNY Fredonia, Christine combines professional artistry with academic depth. She is also an experienced dialect and voice coach, committed to helping actors develop authentic, expressive voices for stage and screen.
