Berry College offers highly challenging graduate programs in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Educational Leadership. All courses are conducted online, unless specified through a district partnership agreement. Our faculty members are well-informed and possess K-12 public school administration and classroom experience. They provide practical experiences and content, which helps classroom teachers and administrators to enhance their teaching and administrative skills.

“Berry’s graduate programs in Education provide teachers with professionally meaningful experiences to further strengthen and enhance their competencies to serve as instructional leaders within their school settings and districts. By doing so, we create a pathway for them to follow new career opportunities that can directly impact students at all grade levels.”
The Berry M.Ed. and Ed. S. Degree Programs open applications in July for an upcoming August matriculation. All programs are approved by the GaPSC.

The M.Ed. degree with a major in Curriculum and Instruction is designed to provide in-depth examination of P-12 curriculum and instruction while requiring study and research into the particular content-area of the educator. The Educational Leadership M.Ed. major provides the courses and performance-based residency required for Georgia L-6 certification and is aligned with the Standards, Elements and Indicators for the Preparation of Georgia Educational Leaders and Educational Leadership Policy Standards (2021).

The Ed. S. degree with a major in Curriculum and Instruction is designed to provide candidates with experiences to further strengthen and enhance their competencies to serve as instructional leaders within their school settings and to maximize the learning of every student. The Educational Leadership Ed.S. degree is designed to train administrators who can bring a perspective on leadership grounded in teaching and performance-based practices.

The Teacher Education program also offers coursework that leads to Tier I and II Leadership Certification by the state of Georgia as an M.Ed. and Ed.S degree add-on or as a non-degree option. The Tier I and II Leadership Certificates are designed to train administrators and prospective educational leaders. Two Endorsement Programs are offered, specializing in Autism and ESOL. Learn more.

Frequently Asked Questions
All of our degree programs are four semesters long. A candidate can complete a program in a little over a year. Example: If a candidate starts in the spring semester (January), then the candidate will complete the following spring semester in May. Tier I certification can be added to the M.Ed. and Ed.S. Curriculum and Instruction programs with the addition of a fifth semester.
Financial Aid is available for all degree programs as long as the candidate still has loan eligibility.

All classes are held through an online format (Zoom), unless specified by your Superintendent. Online attendance is required.
