History Global Issues

History + Global Issues

Students major in History; minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, International Studies, or a Foreign Language; and study or complete an internship abroad. History + Global Issues prepares students for success in careers in intelligence analysis, diplomacy, foreign service, international business, travel services, and global logistics.


Required History Courses (36 hours), and of the 6 hours of electives, 3 must be non-U.S. history;

Complete HIS 402 History + X (1 hour);

Complete Either study abroad or internship abroad (STA 305 or HIS 496 or FRE 496FLA or GER 496FLA or SPA496FLA: 3 hours)*;

Complete Either Minor in French (9-21 hours), or Minor in German (9-21 hours), or Minor in Spanish (9-21 hours), or Minor in International Studies (18 hours),or Minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies (18 hours).
