Anthropology of Food

The Anthropology of Food class went on a field trip to the local CSA (Community-Supported-Agriculture), Rise-N-Shine Farm, where the owner and farm manager, Mitch Lawson, explained the organic growing techniques and the political intricacies of organic certification.

Pictures of the class working with soil and seeds were taken at the Berry College horticultural greenhouses, where we constructed new garden beds and planted cilantro, lettuce, kale, and mustard greens.
