Building community through cross-cultural connections, leadership and service

If you’re a Latinx/Hispanic student interested in opportunities to grow academically and as a leader while exploring your cultural heritage, consider becoming a Goizueta scholar. Through this program, you will:

  • Enter college with a built-in peer network
  • Build community through cross-cultural connections with peers and discussions about the social/cultural factors that shape identity
  • Develop the skills to be a campus leader in this group and other campus organizations — and prepare to be a leader in your career and community after Berry
  • Play a role in encouraging representation of Latinx/Hispanic students in groups and projects across campus
  • Engage in meaningful service that enriches your growth as an individual and leader

This scholarship was created in partnership with The Goizueta Foundation, which supports innovative, strategic ways to bring about life-changing opportunities for individuals as well as long-term benefits for the communities in which they live and serve.

HOW DOES YOUR PARTICIPATION ADD VALUE TO A BERRY COLLEGE EDUCATION?

You’ll benefit from the program while living on campus, preparing for your career or graduate school and pursuing personal and professional goals because of:

  • Transferable skills gained through community events, mentoring, professional development workshops, leadership development and personal growth
  • Opportunities to tap into the talents and interests that will bolster your career profile
  • Access to campus resources, from academic support to professional guidance, that will strengthen your resume
  • A network of peers who act as mentors and offer mutual support — often becoming lifelong friends
  • A network of mentors — staff, faculty and alumni — who will offer advice, references and letters of recommendation after graduation

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?
