Please read our Berry Bound FAQs:

Q: Who can come to this event?
A: Berry Bound is designed for high school seniors or transfer students (and their parents) who have been offered admission to Berry for fall 2024.

Q: What will students do at Berry Bound?
A: We want YOU to get involved so that you can get a feel for what life is really like here at Berry. You will get to attend your choice of interactive sessions on academics, student life and recreation. We're also planning some fun outdoor options like the Adventure Berry hike on our mountain campus and the chance to hang with us in ENOs. If you're not into the great outdoors, we'll have other options to choose from, like touring academic buildings and other facilities for one final look at where you'll spend your next four years. Your adventure is up to you!

Q: What will my parents do?
A: Your parents will get to learn more about Berry from sessions on academics and our campus community. They'll join you for lunch and we will have some other fun opportunities just for them!

Q: What should I bring with me?
A: If you plan to participate in the student-only Adventure Berry hike, you will need to bring a signed copy of the required Berry Bound - Adventure Berry hike release form*. If you will be under 18 years of age on the event date, your parent/guardian will need to sign for you. You may also wish to bring hiking boots/athletic shoes, athletic wear, water bottle, camera and any medications you may be taking.

Q. Where do we go when we get to campus?
A.
Driving directions to Berry are available online. When you arrive, enter Berry through the main entrance on Martha Berry Hwy. As a guest, you will be asked to stop at the Welcome Center. Please watch for signs and be prepared to provide identification. After you enter campus, follow the signs for Admission Event parking.

Q: I have friends or siblings who would like to attend with me. What should we do?
A: If your friends or siblings are also students who have been offered admission to Berry for fall 2024, we'd like for them to register for the event separately so that we can be prepared with personalized information when they check in. Due to space limitations, each student attending Berry Bound is limited to bring 2 guests, so if your friends or siblings are prospective students who have not yet applied or been admitted to Berry, we recommend they register for a Preview Day event.

Q: I’ve already been to Berry for a daily visit, scholarship event or Preview Day. How is this different?
A: Berry Bound is designed to give you an inside look at our one-of-a-kind campus through activities that no other college can offer. Each session is designed for YOU to be actively involved and experience life from a student's perspective. You'll have more opportunities to get to know us and other incoming students, and there will be plenty of options to explore the campus so you can see what you want to see.

Q: What if I need to talk to someone about my financial aid?
A: Admission staff will be available throughout the day to answer any general questions you may have about the financial aid process. We’ll also be able to help you set up a time for a virtual meeting with a Financial Aid counselor at a later date so you can dig even deeper if you still have questions.

Q: I can't visit on the Berry Bound date, but I still need help finalizing my college decision. What are my other options?
A: If you can't come to Berry Bound, we encourage you to schedule a daily visit with the Office of Admission. We can set you up with an individual meeting with your admission counselor and arrange a meeting with a professor in your program area to help you get the information you need to make your college choice.

Q: I’ve applied to Berry, but I haven’t been accepted yet. Can I still come?
A: Berry Bound is designed for students who have been offered admission for fall 2024. If you haven't been offered admission yet, please consider coming for a daily visit.

Q: I haven't started the application process yet. Can I still come?
A: Our Preview Days would better serve students who are beginning their college search and/or have not yet begun the application process.

Q: What if I have a question about the event that hasn’t been answered here?
A: Please contact Shira Kerce, Assistant Director of Events and Visitor Experiences, at skerce@berry.edu or 706.236.5492.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Our student Adventure Berry hike will be designed for beginners, but participation may still involve significant physical exertion. Students MUST have a signed release form in order to participate in these activities. If the student and/or their parents have not signed the waiver, they will be asked to join another option.
