DecisionBerry

A DAY FULL OF ADVENTURES DESIGNED JUST FOR YOU.

Dates for Spring 2022 will be available this Fall.

Please read our Decision Berry FAQs

Q: Who can come to this event?
A: Decision Berry is designed for high school seniors or transfer students (and their parents) who have been offered admission to Berry for fall 2021.

Q: What will students do at Decision Berry?
A: We want YOU to get involved so that you can get a feel for what life is really like here at Berry. You’ll have the chance to attend interactive sessions on residence life, student activities and student work opportunities. You can meet with a professor in your program area, join us for a round of disc golf or tour our academic buildings for one final look at where you'll spend your next four years. After you register, you’ll receive a survey so you can let us know exactly what you’re interested in doing while you’re on campus. We’ll build a schedule just for you so you can make the most of your visit. Your adventure is up to you!

Q: What will my parents do?
A: Your parents will get to attend special sessions with current students and the parents of current students, covering academics, student experience and campus life. They will also join you for some of your sessions!

Q. What precautions will be in place related to COVID-19?
A. Registration is limited for this event so that we can keep our groups small, and each registered student will be limited to 2 guests. Additionally, all visitors to campus (and our staff and students!) are required to wear face coverings at all times inside buildings and outside any time you are interacting with or in proximity to members of the campus community or other guests. Information on acceptable face coverings and general guidelines related to visiting campus at this time are also available online for your reference.

Q. Where do we go when we get to campus?
A.
Driving directions to Berry are available online. When you arrive, enter Berry through the main entrance on Martha Berry Hwy. As a guest, you will be asked to stop at the Welcome Center. Please watch for signs and be prepared to provide identification. You will also be asked some general Covid screening questions and your temperature will be taken quickly and non-invasively. After you enter campus, follow the signs for Admission Event parking.

Q: I have friends or siblings who would like to attend with me. What should we do?
A: If your friends or siblings are also students who have been offered admission to Berry for fall 2021, we'd like for them to register for the event separately so that we can be prepared with personalized information when they check in. Due to space limitations, each student attending Decision Berry is limited to bring 2 guests, so if your friends or siblings are prospective students who have not yet applied or been admitted to Berry, we recommend they register for a Preview Day event.

Q: I’ve already been to Berry for a daily visit, scholarship event, Discover Berry, or Preview Day. How is this different?
A: Decision Berry is designed to give you the information you need most in finding the best college fit for you. Each session is designed for YOU to be actively involved and experience life from a student's perspective. You'll have more opportunities to get to know us and other incoming students, and there will be plenty of options to explore the campus so you can see what you want to see.

Q: I’d like to take one last look at the dorms, dining hall and classrooms. Will I be able to do that?
A: Absolutely! While Covid regulations may make tours of the dining hall or residence halls unavailable, we’ll have Residence Life staff and current students available to talk to you about your options. You can also view photos of residence halls and learn more about what it’s like to live at Berry on our student housing site!

Q: What if I need to talk to someone about my financial aid?
A: Admission staff will be available throughout the day to answer any general questions you may have about the financial aid process. We’ll also be able to help you set up a time for a virtual meeting with a Financial Aid counselor at a later date so you can dig even deeper if you still have questions.

Q: I can't visit on the Decision Berry date, but I still need help finalizing my college decision. What are my other options?
A: If you can't come to Decision Berry, we would encourage you to schedule a daily visit with the Office of Admission. We can set you up with an individual meeting with your admission counselor and arrange a meeting with a professor in your program area to help you get the information you need to make your college choice.

Q: I’ve applied to Berry, but I haven’t been accepted yet. Can I still come?
A: Decision Berry is designed for students who have been offered admission for fall 2021. If you haven't been offered admission yet, please consider coming for a daily visit.

Q: I haven't started the application process yet. Can I still come?
A: Our Preview Days would better serve students who are beginning their college search and/or have not yet begun the application process.

Q: What if I have a question about the event that hasn’t been answered here?
A: Please contact Shira Kerce, Campus Visit Coordinator, at skerce@berry.edu or 706.236.5492.
