How to Apply

Where do I start?

  1. Submit an application via the Common Application or the Berry Application. Both the Common Application and the Berry Application are free, and both are treated equally in the application process.
  2. Submit the following:
    • High School Transcript(s).
    • Official Standardized Test Scores (SAT and/or ACT).
      • Berry SAT Code: 5059
      • Berry ACT Code: 0798
    • Counselor Recommendation Form.
    • Personal Essay (instructions are included on the application).
      • (Optional) “Why Berry” Essay.
Admission Option Type Application Deadline Notification*
Early Decision Binding November 1 Begins December 1
Early Action Non-binding November 1 Begins December 15
Regular Decision Non-binding Rolling Begins February 15

*Highly qualified students who complete the application file by October 15 may receive decisions as early as November 1.

Early Decision (ED)
is for students who are prepared to attend Berry if offered admission. You may only apply Early Decision to one college or university, and a signed Early Decision Agreement is required for consideration of your application to Berry. Early Decision also requires submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the November 1 deadline. 

Early Action (EA) is for students who are excited about Berry and want to be notified of their admission decision beginning in mid-December. Early Action students should submit the FAFSA by November 1 to receive early notification of scholarships and financial aid.

Regular Decision (RD) is for students applying a little later. Students will be notified of their admission decision beginning in mid-February. Regular Decision students should submit the FAFSA by January 15 to receive full consideration for scholarships and financial aid.
