Bountiful Berry

The Berry College summer farmers' market recently welcomed nearly 50 vendors offering eggs, handmade crafts, goat-milk soaps, fresh flowers, log furniture and much more.

The student-run enterprises represented at the market included Jersey Milk, Berry Angus Beef, Martha's Herbs, Berry Bees, Blue Hen Eggs, Viking Creations, Season's Harvest, Viking Furniture and the Oak Hill Gift Shop. Jersey Milk had a great day, selling a record amount of cheese as did Berry Bees and Blue Hen Eggs. Shoppers also checked out Martha's Herbs new line of scrubs and vinegars.

"Overall, the day was a complete success for our enterprises and our community vendors” said Berry Enterprise Support Team Director Andie Spearman. “We were thrilled by the turnout of customers from all over the Rome and Floyd community as well as seeing a great turnout of Berry alumni and friends of the college. We are very thankful for their support of our program."

The Berry student run enterprises will sell produce, cheese, eggs and essential oil body scrubs across the street from the main Berry entrance from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week until supplies last. The next large Farmers' Market will be Sept. 17 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Hermann Hall.
