House Wins

The Berry College ballroom was full of glamour and energy as students placed their “bets” at Casino Night, one of Berry’s most popular events.

A tradition since 1975, attendees dressed to the nines enjoyed a fun-filled night of dealing and playing casino games such as craps, roulette, blackjack and poker to earn money in the form of chips. Students then traded the chips for raffle tickets to win fun prizes.

Senior Katie DeVos is part of the team that organized Casino Night.

"Over the three years I've worked on Casino Night, it really does flow surprisingly well with 17 people working on one event because we work in small teams in addition to the large group,” DeVos said.

“I loved the photo booth. I always wanted to make the print out photos that we got from there," said Josie Pesiri, a junior anthropology major.

Both pre-recorded and live music were played on the ‘Vegas strip,’ and there was an Elvis impersonator mingling with partygoers in the lounge. Mock ceremonies at a drive-thru wedding chapel, a photo booth and ‘mocktails’ completed the Vegas experience.
