Poker Face

The Berry College ballroom was full of glitz, glamour as students placed their “bets” at Casino Night, one of the college’s most popular events of the year.
Casino Night, which is organized by the Krannert Center Activities Board (KCAB), featured a fun-filled evening of casino games such as craps, roulette, blackjack and poker. Students then traded their winning chips for raffle tickets to win gift certificates, Berry attire and even a Polaroid camera.
Junior Alexx Beato is a part of the team that organized the weekend.
“Casino night was an absolute success. KCAB was working with a new layout this year, but everything went smoothly and it all worked out for the best,” Beato said. “We really owe it all to the students because Vegas Weekend would not be a success without them.”
If casino games weren’t enough, there was a ‘Vegas style’ fake wedding chapel, a photo booth, ‘mocktails’ and endless musical guests. Student performers Jermaine White, Ryan Daly, Taylor Haas, Alex Scales, Clayton Moore, Caroline Moore, Matt Wall, Saxson Olsen and Nathan Talbot entertained guests along with magician Reece Parker.
“Casino night is definitely one of my favorite Berry events of the year,” senior Anna Walker said. “Everyone comes looking their best and ready for a good time. I’m so sad this was my last year!”
