Finals Fest Fun

With the spring semester coming to a close, students relieved their stress and had a blast at the third annual Finals Fest.

Alternative bands Grizfolk and Nightly, performed on a stage nestled between the Moon and Laughlin buildings. Bounce houses, a hot air balloon, DIY crafts and free food filled the festival-like scene. The event was held in the center of campus which allowed for plenty of space for students to take part in the various activities.

“My last Finals Fest was great. I’m always down for funnel cakes and a chance to spend time with friends,” senior Elizabeth Burge said.

Finals Fest is a favorite of many Berry students as it is the last big event before summer break and a great opportunity to take a break from studying and have fun with friends. At the DIY crafts, students made flower crowns and planted tiny succulents in pots. Others took a ride in a hot air balloon and raced tricycles. After that exercise, it was time to hit the funnel cakes, fried oreos and tornado potatoes!

“I enjoyed the hot air balloon the most. It was a really unique experience and something I’ll definitely remember for a long time,” sophomore Nate Miawald said. “I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with next year.”
