Peter and the Starcatcher Opens

The Berry College Theatre Company production “Peter and the Starcatcher” opened this week and runs through Sunday at the Berry BOLD Ropes Course.

“We will be under the stars on this adventure course, which is really fun to have as a backdrop,” Director Hannah Hammond said. “Being outdoors really relates to the story of Neverland and the Lost Boys.”

In this prequel to the story of Peter Pan, learn the origins of Neverland and the story behind the phrase, “faith, trust, and pixie dust.” “Peter and the Starcatcher” chronicles the adventures of Molly, a girl charged with protecting a valuable crate of “star-stuff” and Peter, an orphan who eventually becomes The Boy Who Never Grew Up.

Due to the renovation of the E.H. Young Theatre, the shows this season will be performed in various locations around campus giving students and audiences the valuable experience of outdoor theatre.

The play is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $7 for senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased by emailing bctc@berry.edu or calling the box office at 706-236-2263.
